I didn't disconnect those plugs, but I did push everything back together and that fixed the problem for almost two days. The card is a tiny little thing with the world's tiniest plugs connecting it to the WiFi antenna. I took the laptop case off and popped the wifi card out (not too difficult, but it's a laptop so everything is tightly nested). Thankfully this only takes ~30 seconds, but the WiFi turns itself off again after 5-120 minutes. The only thing that works for me to get the WiFi to start again is to hold the power button down until the machine turns off, then turn it back on. ![]() I'm trying to find as many of these posts as I can so I can share my observations about this problem.
